29: Snowy Sunday morning

More snow fell in Arrowtown, turning the main street into a picture postcard, so we went for a walk in it, as you do.

And then we had coffee at Bonjour, the French restaurant in Arrowtown. Big bowls of latte; warm croissants and a sumptuous omelette. Magnifique!

28: Wakatipu Winter

Days like these, with clear blue skies and snow on the mountains, make winter worth while in the Wakatipu Basin.

27: And Then There Was Snow

The sleigh bells may not be ringing but the cash registers are. All the tourism, hospitality and retail folk are smiling again as visitors flood into town to make the most of the fresh snow. Of course there was carnage on the roads and several routes were closed but it's certainly gone from one extreme to the other!

26: Dirty riding

Before Him Outdoors did the cyclocross race, Howdy Neighbour and I went for a walk around the Kelvin Heights' golf course - always scenic and stunning.

And so to the race itself, which was tough and dirty, with the competitors going for it right from the start.

Him Outdoors could often run faster than he could ride.
