Saying Goodbye

Shopping in Marlow is mainly booze-related. Harrow and Hope sparkling wines are a must-buy.

The drinking rooms at Rebellion Brewery have had a facelift and are now quite a pleasant place to sit and indulge a pint.

I had a very sad morning so once again headed to the river, where the sombre hues reflected my mood, before Scarey Sis took me to Chives for replenishment.

Breakfast at Chives

On a walk in Warren Row Woods we encountered snowdrops. Mum used to love them as they were harbingers of spring, and suggested hope for the future.

English placenames

A walk down Marlow High Street led me to this work in the window of the art gallery. No further comment required.

I headed into London with My Cousin Rachael to see Hoggy, Super-in-Law and the neiblings. We also saw some sights.

The flats where Dad grew up

My Cousin Rachael and I took Nephew Aidan for a fondue dinner at a Vagabonds. I do like the social aspect of this meal and it's good to see them making a comeback.

Back in Marlow we had more familiar fayre.

These are the flowers for Mum's funeral. We wanted something bright and colourful and no white. They are beautiful. I can't say anything else about the day.

Another walk in Marlow Common as a means of getting out of the house.

On my last visit into town I found some cheese from the Marlow Cheese Co and the most poignant piece of graffiti to farewell Mum.
