A Couple of Race Days

The morning of the sprint race was bright and sunny.

I found a vantage point or two and took some photos.

And all together now...

Walking back from the race I spotted some impressive yellow-tailed black cockatoos.

I don't know about Him Outdoors, but I certainly felt I deserved an Aperol Spritz.

The next day we spent the morning at the Palmetum (in another post) then went up Mt Stuart to admire the views.

Good advice

We finished the day with dinner at the Watermark Restaurant (carbo loading) followed by ice cream from Juliette's on The Strand (protein?).

Today was the sprint race - sort of more of the same, but longer and more of it.

Congratulations to Him Outdoors, and for those who like their figures (I think he looks lovely), he finished the Sprint in 1:05:14 (12th in his age-group; third fastest bike time) and the Standard in 2:14:50 (11th in his age-group; second fastest bike time). He may need to work on his running, but right now it's time for some bubbles at the beach and dinner at the Shorehouse.
